In legacy ERP systems, one of two paths was often followed.  Either 1) Extensive customizations were done to ensure that the ERP system could handle all the needs of the company, or 2) Virtually no customizations were done, and the company was forced to make major changes to their processes to fit the ERP system.   

In the move to a cloud ERP, is this a good time to rethink whether all those functions really need to be a core part of the ERP system? Or can you use the cloud ERP for a narrower set of functions, and move other processes to industry-specific applications hosted in the cloud?
