Sohan DeMel is Vice President of Global Product Strategy and Business Development in Oracle Product Development. In his role as a data strategist, he leads Oracle Cloud data initiatives and solution architectures working closely with strategic customers globally.
Sohan’s global responsibilities span the Oracle database portfolio, including Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Exadata. He also leads Oracle’s initiatives around AI/ML based analytic data platforms, data lakehouse architectures, and data-centric partner strategy. During his 25+ year tenure at Oracle, Sohan has been responsible for building and taking to market technologies such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Exadata, and Oracle Database Appliance, as well as developing Oracle’s Private Database Cloud strategy.
Sohan has degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Vassar College, NY and Dartmouth College, NH respectively.
